Warranty and home care during the COVID-19 pandemic

We’ve had some homeowners ask us how we’re handling warranty and home care during the COVID-19 pandemic. Certainly, we want our homeowners to be safe and comfortable in their Hunter Quinn home. Part of that comfort comes from knowing the services you need are available and provided safely.

Hunter Quinn Homes is currently focusing solely on emergency warranty claims. If you have problems with your air conditioning system, significant leaks, or similar serious issues, please reach out to us. We’ll determine the service you need and schedule a professional to come to your home. We’re asking that our homeowners limit the number of people in the area where the work is being performed.

Be assured that every member of our team is following strict sanitation protocols wherever they go. They are expected to wear masks and gloves, for your protection as well as their own. Equipment is sanitized before and after every use, along with the work area in your home.

If your warranty claim is not an emergency, you should still submit your claim. We’ll document your request, including the date. Our warranty team will then schedule the visit once we can resume our normal routines.

Tips for DIY home care

There are plenty of home maintenance tasks you can handle on your own. Check out the “How To” videos on our website:

  • Change your air filter
  • Clean your dryer vent
  • Check your air conditioner’s air handler
  • Change smoke detector batteries
  • Clean your microwave’s grease screen
  • Re-seal your granite countertop
  • Program your thermostat
  • Maintain your door locks and weatherstripping

Hunter Quinn Homes remains committed to our homeowners, during this challenging time and long afterwards. Like many others in the Charleston area, we’re a local business. Working together, we can get through this as soon as possible.

Stay safe and well, everyone!

I worked with John McNeil from Pinnacle Financial Partners& he was everything that I could have asked for as a mortgage advisor. He was timely with all of this emails, calls, and paperwork, he took the time to explain things to me, and he always answered my questions even as he worked from home because of Hurricane Dorian.
