Hunter Quinn Homes Leads Renovation Project for Harvest Edge Gathering Home

Hunter Quinn Homes had the privilege of leading a renovation project for the Harvest Edge Gathering Home, bringing together our Greenville team and trusted trade partners for a full day of hands-on volunteering.

As builders, we’re fortunate to create homes for a living—but days like this remind us that the true impact of a home goes far beyond walls and finishes. It’s about safety, stability, and the sense of belonging that every child deserves.

A Home Designed to Heal and Keep Siblings Together

Harvest Edge exists to meet a critical and often overlooked need in South Carolina’s foster care system: keeping siblings together. While entering foster care is traumatic on its own, separating brothers and sisters adds another layer of fear and loss. Harvest Edge’s gathering home provides a safe, nurturing environment for sibling groups ages five to ten, allowing part of the family unit to remain intact during an incredibly uncertain season of life.

Situated on 1.4 acres in the Upstate, the Harvest Edge gathering home is intentionally designed to feel like just that—a home. A place where children can be children, where consistency and compassion replace chaos, and where healing can begin.

Why This Work Matters

According to state data, thousands of children in South Carolina are currently in foster care, with far fewer foster homes available—particularly ones equipped to care for sibling groups. Harvest Edge was founded in response to this gap, born from decades of mission work and local service that revealed the long-term impact of instability, poverty, addiction, and trauma on children.

Their vision goes beyond shelter. Through individualized development plans—known as the WIN Initiative—Harvest Edge focuses on nurturing each child’s emotional, social, and developmental growth. The goal is to help children build confidence, discover their strengths, and develop the resilience they need to thrive, both now and in the future.

A Day of Service, A Lasting Impact

Our Greenville team, alongside our trade partners, volunteered their time and expertise to help renovate the gathering home—ensuring it continues to be a warm, functional, and welcoming space for the children who live there. From repairs and updates to finishing touches that make a house feel like home, every effort was made with the children in mind.

This project reflects the heart behind our work at Hunter Quinn Homes. We believe that every home we build—or help improve—should strengthen the community around it. Supporting organizations like Harvest Edge aligns directly with that belief.

We’re honored to stand alongside Harvest Edge in their mission to equip children for tomorrow by providing the security of a loving home today. Because sometimes, the most meaningful thing we can build isn’t a new home—but hope.
