Cheryl Braxton: Addressing concerns with compassion

Growing up around the homebuilding industry, Cheryl Braxton developed a special appreciation for the process. She watched as South Carolina families’ ideas transformed into realities and they built their lives in new homes.

With that foundation, it is not a huge surprise that Cheryl is back in the builder vertical serving as the Customer Experience Manager at Hunter Quinn Homes. 

“I was drawn to Hunter Quinn because of the culture of the company,” Cheryl said “Hunter Quinn is not only concerned with producing a quality home but also building solid relationships with homeowners and giving back to the community.”

Cheryl joined the company back in July and her position is more important than ever with homebuyers navigating the uncertainty of the pandemic on top of the other challenges of buying a home. She spends her days meeting with homeowners to address concerns and coordinate repair schedules. Then, she coordinates with subcontractors to ensure that work orders are completed in a timely manner and Hunter Quinn is exceeding its own building standards in every new construction project. 

“I love interacting with our homeowners! Whether it’s their first home or their 50th, my position offers the ability to follow up with homeowners throughout their first year of homeownership with Hunter Quinn and even after if they have questions or are looking for some home improvement tips,” Cheryl said.

The HQ “How To” series features short videos with Project Manager, Josh Caye, and guests as they walk homeowners through different tasks like changing air filters, cleaning dryer vents, changing the batteries in your smoke detectors. If you do have an issue covered by the warranty program, you can submit a request on the Service page. Cheryl will take over from there supervising your ticket and communicating timelines with you. 

Even though she is newer to this position, Cheryl is a seasoned professional in customer service working as an Early Intervention Specialist and Service Coordinator supporting families around the Charleston Area through Coastal Early Intervention.

There she honed her skills of patience and compassion which made her a perfect fit at Hunter Quinn to serve as a liaison with our homeowners.
